  • Because of the repeated wash-outs and eroding of the side-slopes there were formed loamy column-structures with stones lying on them. These earth pyramids have changed constantly and mostly in winter- and spring-time. New columns are being created: the erosion-zone lies at an altitude of 1,550 - 1,750 metres.

  • For a long time it was very difficult to reacxh Terenten from tge valley. The road in Vitl/Vandoies was only constructed in 1961. For hunderets of years the village people had to look after themselves. Rye, wheat, oat, barley and buckwheat as well as peas, potatoes and cabbage, turnips, poppy and flax were grown to guarantee the feeding of people and animals.
